Christopher Raeburn SS15 Collection - Meridian

SS15 collection draws inspiration from The Desert Boneyard in Arizona where about 4,000 military aircraft are stored awaiting reintegration or re-appropriation.

Raeburn's REMADE range not only includes his signature parachute fabric........

but also for this collection is original MIG fighter pilot flightsuits reconstructed into garments and accessories. These garments and accessories retain original details such as all over contouring drawstrings.

Swiss military rain capes have been reworked into clean translucent outerwear, the original identification labeling is included as a mark of authenticity.

A floral print softens the collection's look and is featured on a mid length mac, lightweight hoodie, bomber and gilet as well as packable accessories.

The ongoing Cool Wool partnership with the Woolmark company has created super lightweight woven Merino wool fabrics for suit jackets, shorts and trousers as well as knitted casual vests and hybrid hoodies.

Supporting UK manufacturing, there is a range of garments and accessories produced in British Millerain waxed cotton.

The British Millerain bomber (which also comes in high quality leather) features thirteen playing card designs, each featuring a different aircraft motif. The playing cards are one of several heat transfer techniques used across the collection representing a new partnership with Avery Dennison RBIS. The playing card patches are all woven in recycled yarn highlighting both companies' shared commitment to sustainablility.

Modern sweats include jogger bottoms, shorts and new oversized tops with bold prints, Avery Dennison RBIS heat transfer patch pockets and illustrative military designs.

The colour palette is classic military aviation shades of muted olive, overdyed black and grey contrasted with white and orange.
