Barbour AW16 collection

Barbour AW16 comprise of 3 collections:

Night Watch
Night Watch reimages classic Barbour styles into individual contemporary pieces, Each jacket is named after the eight bells used to regulate the sailor's duty watches in board ship. The collection was inspired by the Beacon that has stood watch at the mouth of the River Tyne in the NE of England since 1882, The Beacon, used in the early Barbour catalogues in the 1900s encapsulates the authenticity and heritage of the brand

The predominant colour throughout Night Watch is black. There's an innovative use of technical fabrics, pocket and zip detailing on jackets. Wax jackets feature clean understated lines with waterproof zips and large pockets to offer the best in stylish waterproof protection. The linings take the Black Watch tartan made famous by the 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Ancient Tartan
This collection pays homage to one of Barbour's exclusive tartans. First introduces in the 1990s as a lining to the traditional Barbour wax jackets, the colours of the Ancient Tartan are used throughout the collection.

The design is derived from the District of Ayrshire on the West coast of Scotland where the family name Barbour originated in the 14th Century. the Ancient Tartan is renowned for its strong association with creams, yellows and greens creating a wardrobe of clothes in a sophisticated palette and practical straight forward silhouette.


Barbour x White Mountaineering
This capsule collection combines Barbour's classic tartan lining with bold bright overprinted colours in blue and orange in the Crux jacket.
