Canali AW17 Menswear

Canali AW17 is dedicated to covert craftsmanship, deconstructed design that belies sophisticated silhouettes.
Outerwear is at times oversized, taking inspiration from the 1960s,


while suits follow the natural contours of the body, shunning excess in favor of a more pared down aesthetic.


Focus falls on fabrics: cashmere traverses the collection in prestigious "double" constructed pieces and in luxurious blends with wool, silk, vicuña and chinchilla.


 Many of the fabrics feature distinctive textures from a micro bouclé to an ultra-soft baby alpaca velour


and luxurious finishes like a sable-effect on a pure cashmere field jacket.

 Quintessential menswear motifs like Prince of Wales check, madras, herringbone and birds eye are at times overlapped or rotated, exuding a classic but contemporary feel.


Jacquards and other intricate weaves create optical patterns.

Dynamic mélanges of rich, saturated colors within a palette flows smoothly between illustrious purples and  natural browns


and a grayscale that goes from white to black.

Antony Morato SS17 Collection

As per previous years, Antony Morato’s SS17 collection consists of two different lines – this season, it’s Black and Gold.
Each collection draws upon a different metropolis: Black refers to Tokyo, while Gold is reflective of Los Angeles.
The lines take inspiration from nature regaining possession of the cities; contrasting its soft and harmonious shapes with the strong, geometric and sharp angles of the cities’ architecture.

Tokyo – a city characterised by Zen and a meditative soul, which combines a chaotic, urban landscape with a background of rarefied atmosphere. This is represented in Antony Morato’s SS17 Black collection through a harmonious mix of natural colours and urban tones. Sophisticated and smart, but not dramatic, the Black collection’s muted, dark shades embody technology meeting nature; slowness facing speed; evolution joining tradition.

Los Angles – a city of sun and endless beaches – motivates the Gold collection. Deep blue hues of the sea are ingrained into every gradation, while deep shades of gold and red, inspired by the city’s sand, finish the palette. Taking inspiration from the laidback Californian lifestyle, floral patterns, graphics of Cadillac cars and surf-inspired designs complete the Gold collection.
Taking its muse from two of the world’s most looked-upon cities to create Black and Gold, Antony Morato’s SS17 collection utilises contrasting aesthetics and design to suggest a future where man and nature become harmonious and find their balance.

Contemporary Artist Danny Minnick : Bringing Street Culture Into Our Home

Contemporary Artist Danny Minnick made his way from Seattle to the East Coast in the early 90’s and found himself on a skateboard in the middle of Manhattan.

 As a professional skateboarder, he was able to cross-pollinate his passions by skating as an actor in several films and several other relevant projects for Thrasher, 411, and Transworld Videos.
After a bad skating injury left him unable to continue skating, he began to channel his creative energy into paintings where he fell in love with the experience and serenity it gave him.

Danny’s first successful show, Break the Walls, at Boîte Noire Gallery in the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles, paved the way for his expansion into the fine art world. His unique style of abstract expressionism is a cast of characters and hidden images that suddenly appear during his acrylic and oil work.
His style of painting is often compared to Basquiat, while his characters themselves often bring a heartfelt connection to Keith Haring’s work, a perfect blend of Haring’s humor with Minnick’s whimsical style and sensibility.
More than that, Minnick’s ability to hone in on an emotion, stranded in an active moment of time, is what really stands out in this body of work.

While his street characters are accessible to many, his works on canvas continue to excite and inspire even the most highbrow collectors including Nick Cassevettes, Cash Warren, Jessica Alba, Michael Citrone, Gus Van Sant, LeBron James, and Jaime Hince.
Danny has also donated works to many reputable charities including LIFT, Art of Elysium, and Eastwood Ranch Foundation’s annual art charity.

Danny’s live works, which have gained worldwide attention, have recently featured at Hamptons Art Market, Tulum Mexico, South Hampton, La Jolla San Diego, and Los Angeles, Sag Harbor. Danny recently hosted his first solo show, Power to the Planet, at De Re Gallery in Los Angeles this February.
He has been featured in such publications including Forbes, Interview, Art Zealous, Artnet, LA Fashion Magazine, Crave Online, Tartarus Magazine, and ARTSY Mag amongst others.

Austrian Designer AND_i launches lasered jeans men's collection


Andreas Eberharter, aka AND_i, whose eye-patch has become far-famed by Lady Gaga's video "Paparazzi" with millions of views, recently chose jeans as his artistic, portable medium.


The native Tyrolean, has just launched his first DENIM Collection for men under the sublabel AND_i


 Andreas Eberharters relies on high-quality, fair production in Europe - a necessary step for the label owner to combine fashion with political correctness.


For the time being, there are two different cuts, classic straight leg/slim fit and skinny fit, with neutral washing and distinctive, lasered designs.
